Silver Oaks Chateau is not quite a Farm House- although I (Amy) wouldn’t put it past Ron (he and his lovely wife own Silver Oaks) to add one if he got a wild hair. Although they are not a farm, they sure know how to show hospitality to their couples. When Brittany asked if their dear friends, Kevin and Jessica (owners of the famous Farmhaus Restaurant) could prepare their wedding feast- the team at Silver Oaks welcomed them with open arms. I don’t think they could say no to Brittany, she’s incredible sweet with these eyes that you really cannot say no to. I can’t imagine how tough it had to be to scold her when she was a child. Doug is equally as kind as she is, and it is quite clear they both get it from their parents.
Their wedding day was a perfect spring day. It wasn’t too hot and it didn’t rain. You can’t ask for much more in St Louis. The day went by blissfully, no rushing, just a very sweet, intimate day with the ones they love most. We enjoyed every single moment, and every single tear that got wiped from smiling cheeks.
