Samantha and Andrew are one of those great love stories, the couple that started off as friends for years, then once the romance began it was all over! Though they had known each other for 8 years, they only dated for a year and a half before Andrew popped the question on the back patio of Bailey’s Chocolate Bar, coincidentally one of my (Shannon’s) favorite places! They are a sweet couple that seem very comfortable together and very right. You know that feeling when you see people together, and you’re like, “yes, that is right”. That is Sam and Andrew. We met them through one of our couple’s from a few years back, Kelsey and John, and of course we loved them! (Side note, people always ask us, “Tell us your most crazy wedding/bridezilla story”, and we just don’t have any. We have been so privileged to work with AMAZING couples and families who then tell their AMAZING friends about us, and so we get to love our job and the people we work with 95% of the time! So thank you to all of you who refer us, we SO appreciate it!!) Ok, now back to Andrew and Samantha. They were married in St. Francis Xavier College Church, which when I moved here was my dream place to get married. It is absolutely spectacular, and their newly redone bride’s room is breathtaking!! Joel and I find that our work shines best in those darker churches and venues, like St. Francis Xavier, that can be a bit tricky to handle as photographers… I guess that’s why we love the Shadow of our company name, as well as the Light. You can see for yourself that Samantha is just a vision of radiance as she awaits walking down the aisle to marry her best friend! After a beautiful ceremony we headed to SLU campus, where they are alumni, for some photos and then off to the magnificent Marriot Grand Crystal Ballroom. It was a night to remember and one full of great personality too. They set up games of Bags in the bar/cocktail area, how cool is that?! There were lots of great memories, fun and laughs. Samantha and Andrew, we are so glad we got to be a part of your special day, and we can’t wait to see where life takes you next! Congratulations!
