Winter is gone! We (Joel & Shannon) had our first wedding of the year with a bride that has been a bridesmaid at a handful of weddings we have photographed, and we were so glad that it was her turn! Katie and Eric first met at his sister’s wedding. She was a sorority sister of Katie’s and she had always heard the girls talk about this brother that she had never met. When the wedding came, it was her chance to meet him, and in her words, “I went for it.”
Katie and Eric’s wedding day was as beautiful a spring day as you could imagine. When you are in very early spring, you always run the risk of tricky weather, but thankfully we had nothing but sunshine! One huge bonus was that two of our former brides were in the wedding as well…and that always makes us even more excited for a wedding. The ceremony was at the beautiful Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Columbia, IL, and this is a church we know well from the past few years. When the ceremony was over at came time for photos, one thing very important to Eric was to do some photos with his family’s tow truck. Eric is the third generation to work in the family business (http://www.bolinservices.com/), so that was a fun first for us. The reception was at the Palladium, and it was actually our first time working there…amazing place.
Here are some of our favorites from the day. Huge congrats to you both! Thank you so much for letting us be a part!
