Every once and awhile, you meet a couple that is extra special. Sometimes because it’s how they with each other and sometimes it’s because of things that set them apart from the crowd. Sometimes, it is for both of those reasons…and this is one of those times. Kayla and Jordan are something special. One of our favorite things is how they wanted to make their wedding day reflect who they are as individuals and a couple. They did not want overly traditional…stuffy…boring. They wanted something relaxed and fun where everyone could let go and have a wonderful time. I mean…they even rented a bounce house for their reception! Even more than any of that, though, they are two people who deeply love each other and were made to be together. You can see it in how they interact and how they look at each other, and it is amazing to behold.
The wedding was Kayla’s parents’ home in Collinsville, and home weddings are so lovely. Her parents are also photographers (no pressure, right???), and they had put so much work into making sure the house and grounds looked love. And did it ever! After the ceremony it was time to head to the reception, and they traveled in some serious style. A friend of the family has a gorgeous 54′ Chevy Bel Air, and that was their carriage! The reception was at Willoughby Farm (one of our favorite places). While at the reception, Jordan surprised a hilarious surprise serenade for Kayla, and it had everyone laughing.
Here are some of our favorites from the day, and we hope you love them as much as we do. Huge blessings to Kayla and Jordan!!!
Special thanks to our incredible associate photographers Michelle Ross and Molly Henson for doing an incredible job photographing this wedding!
